If you've been following our four-part series, you've journeyed with me through several personal self-discoveries that have shaped the design of Nurtured Faith Weekly Planners. Here's a quick recap:
- Intention over Goal: We use "intention" instead of "goal" in our planners to foster a sense of progress over the final outcome.
- Seasonal Planning: Intentionally aligning our plans with the natural ebbs and flows of the year allows for more realistic intentions and planning.
- God's Guidance: While we prayerfully plan to the best of our ability, ultimately, God orders our steps!
Lastly, I identified a deep craving for "re-dos"—the invaluable opportunity to try again with a clearer understanding of the direction the Lord has for my family. What do I mean? I absolutely love January, where I get to crack open a new planner and dream of what my year and intentions might look like. I am not kidding, it's literally one of my favorite things to do, even when I am not as successful the year before. That innate desire to try again, is there, strong, every year.
Why is this an important self-discovery?
I realized that I need to have this “January” opportunity, every four months, as my seasons change and so do my ebbs and flows within my family. I need to seek Him on a regular basis, and evaluate within my home what’s working and what’s not. What might need to shift to flow better during this next season we enter. And to celebrate the small wins along the way to accomplishing my intentions.
So how did this discovery influence our New Nurtured Faith Planner?
That's an excellent question! In addition to the opportunity to plan your intentions every four months, we've also included reflection pages at the end of each four-month section. This allows you to look back, assess what worked and what didn't, and celebrate your victories!
