Personally, I love the start of a new planner as it feels like a new beginning and a fresh start. Therefore each New Day Planner has a section that has a “Road Map” designed to give us space to prayerfully consider how God may be leading us in the new year and to make actionable steps toward them.
Not only do I want the beginning of the planner to feel like a fresh start and a new beginning, but it’s my hope we feel that each week too! Each week we have the opportunity to also prayerfully consider our days ahead by utilizing the “weekly guides”. These guides will help us determine the most important things He has given us to do or to be that week, and keep us focused on Him.
But let’s face it, sometimes life happens and things we thought we could do, we just can’t: Kids get sick, injuries occur, work gets busy, and that unexpected thing happens. It’s our prayer that each week will feel like an opportunity to keep moving forward in life. What you hoped to have accomplished last week might not have happened–and you know what? That’s okay! There is grace for that! Jesus knows! He knows our hearts, our intentions, our state of being, and He loves us! Pick back up this coming week–and try again. Or maybe that unexpected thing, requires us to shift our perspectives and our goals. Whatever it is, Jesus doesn’t ask us to be perfect, and have it all together. He just asks us to be faithful. Let’s faithfully bring Him our week, allow Him to help order our steps, then bravely put one foot in front of the other and walk with Him. He’s got us! He knows us, He sees us, and He loves us more than we can know!
Let’s give ourselves grace and continually run to Him!
